Studio Art is any art medium requiring a specialized studio to create it. The studio is our lab, garage, library and testing facility. The inception of an idea or concept is cultivated within the studios and executed through any medium our students choose. The result can be a drawing, painting, steel or stone sculpture, pottery, digital illustration, 3D printed object or a mixed media piece.

There are no limits within the studio arts. If the work can be imagined it can be created. SCF’s program is based on the Bauhaus School and trains students in a variety of mediums where they then choose their area of specialization.

The A.S. in Studio Art has specializations in Illustration, Commercial Photography, Industrial Ceramics /Sculpture and Studio Art. SCF also has articulation agreements with several private art schools and universities across the country for students intending to transfer to continue their studies.
